Listening first: what the site has to do, who it speaks to, and what success actually looks like for the business behind it. The territory gets mapped before anything is drawn, so every decision after it has something to answer to.
(About Me)
(My Story)
I'm Tihomir Dimitrov, an independent designer and developer based in Sofia. Design came first. Code came after, because I kept watching work I believed in lose something on the way to the browser, and I wanted to stop losing it.
Four years later I work across the full arc of a website — strategy, art direction, interface design, front-end development, motion and WebGL. It's more to hold at once, but it's the only way I've found to get the thing I actually drew, rather than a close relative of it.
(How I Work)
Four moves from the first conversation to launch day, and nothing changes hands in between.
Let's work togetherListening first: what the site has to do, who it speaks to, and what success actually looks like for the business behind it. The territory gets mapped before anything is drawn, so every decision after it has something to answer to.
Art direction, layout and a motion language, drawn at real proportions with real content. Nothing is judged in a vacuum and nothing is approved on a hunch, so what you sign off is what ships.
The design moves into code without a handover — hand-built front-ends and GSAP choreography, tuned until the site feels the way it looked, on every screen it lands on.
Cross-device QA, performance work and SEO groundwork before launch. Then I stay close for a while, because the first month is when a site tells you what it actually needed.
(Beliefs)
Let's work togetherAesthetics aren't decoration. How a site looks is the first argument it makes, and for most visitors it's the only one they stay long enough to hear.
Websites that feel made by one mind, because they were — where the idea, the interface and the code all want the same thing.
To give independent brands the kind of web presence usually reserved for far larger budgets: considered, fast, and built to last.
(Hobbies)
Most ideas don't arrive at the desk. They turn up on a ridge above Sofia, halfway down a trail, or behind a camera waiting for light that may never come.
